Sunil’s Celebrity Wax Museum,Lonavala

An entry ticket into our very own desi Madame Tussauds cost 1 pound 40 pence, or Rs.100, and was money well spent for sheer entertainment value. The sign outside listed 31 figures with the promise of upcoming models – 2011 World Cup Heroes, Lata Mangeshkar, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah ‘Ruk’ Khan and ‘Kathrina’ Kaif. Once inside, you are politely told that photography is permitted but to refrain from getting too close to the models.
Started by Kerala-based sculptor, Sunil Kandalloor, the museum featured an eccentric mix of waxworks ranging from Shivaji and Sai Baba to Resul Pookutty and many other famous personalities. Some has very artistic symbolic representation but many have need for some more refinements .

My first Ooty visit

Oh ... finally, we planned for Ooty (Udhagamandalam).... 18th and 19th August2012...in this South India's most sponsored hill station...Actually I was thinking from last one year to visit this hilly town but always due to some reason it became postponed. Lucy this time ...   I just want to share some cut paste item to tell an acknowledgement about this town..

Udhagamandalam, also spelled Uthagamandalam, formerly Ootacamund, also called Ooty,  town, western Tamil Nadu state, southern India. It is situated in the Nilgiri Hills about 7,500 feet (2,300 metres) above sea level, and is sheltered by several peaks—including Doda Betta (8,652 feet [2,637 metres]), the highest point in Tamil Nadu. Founded by the British in 1821, it was used as the official government summer headquarters for the Madras Presidency until Indian independence in 1947. The town is primarily a tourist resort, but it also contains tea-processing and textile industries and several colleges and institutes. Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary is about 35 miles (55 km) to the north.

In this trip my companions was Chandan, Manoj and Umesh ... I enjoyed lot with you guys ... in future hoping some more trips with you guys ... We started 11.30 pm from Shanti Nagar Bus Stand and reached there 10.30 am around. As usual we searched for hotel there only and got a so so hotel there. There was planning for lunch first so we became ready in within hour after getting hotel and hired a cab for first lunch and then some site seeing like rose garden ,tea-factory, Doda Betta peak, Botanical Garden  and roamed around commercial street in Night. That day was foggy so my wish to take pictures in fog had been also fulfilled this time.

Next day we planned for Connur by toy train but unfortunately we didn't get any ticket and then we became a part of tourist bus. That day weather was almost clear so we was enjoying other facet of weather at a hill station also. After taking lunch we again moved to Doda Betta peak and left the bus here and decided to cover the distance between Doda Betta and Ooty town by foot only and it was really interesting and I had got some good clicks also during this .

I captured this when I was going towards Ooty town by Bus
